Chandra Dasari and Vanessa Valderrama talked about how the LF is cleaning up the gerrit permissions, committer promotions process, and migration to the LF Single Sign-on.
Will be presenting more detail and self-service and repo creation on at the TSC meeting.
A discussion ensued around project mapping to repositories so that permissions can be effectively managed.
Permissions for PTLs and Committers need to be mapped to a repository.
Logically right now it is difficult for the community to associate a Project to a Repo
To prevent blocking of active development, the community should associate a PTL and an initial set of committers to the existing repositories.
The community can then in the future properly associate a project to a specific repository as they decide the permissions should be logically separated.
